Rudiment Series – 5 Essential Flams

Here are five flam rudiments that every drummer should know and have mastered on the snare. It’s surprising how many drummers don’t know the actual stickings for these. I also go over some cool orchestration ideas so you can use these rudiments in playing situations. Flams are definitely my favourite rudiment as they can turn stickings from boring to cool.
