Rudiments Around the Kit – 5-Stroke Roll

Following on from the 3-stroke ruff, here is the (I think more useful) 5-stroke roll. Because the phrase is longer it’s a little less frantic sounding (compared to 3-stroke) and is somewhat easier to orchestrate and use around the toms. Also serves as another great mechanics exercise, forcing you to learn how to move around the drums freely.
