Groove Vocab – 32nd Note Ghost Notes

I’ve been experimenting with the common 32nd note ‘diddle’ phrase that often gets placed before beats 1 and 3 and trying to put it in other places in the bar. Placing it after the backbeat on 2 & 4 is quite tricky but sounds great and also on the second 16th note of the bar. There are a few options and once you put them all together nicely, surround them with all the other ghost note options, you start to get this constant flow of ghost notes that makes the groove sound great!
