Lick of the Month – April ’16

 
The lick for this month is something I tend to play a lot and I’ve heard Steve Smith do something similar. The main part of the phrase is just two 32nd notes and two 16th notes but it’s the left hand on the snare immediately after that makes it interesting and also tricky. I also go over some variations.
