Rudiments Around the Kit – 3-Stroke Ruff

A very simple but bold sounding rudiment (and one of my favourites) this phrase can sound great just on the snare but is also very usable in musical situations when played around the drums. There are two versions; one where the accents are on the beat and the other where the accents are on the off-beat. It’s important to master both and then look into orchestrating both version around the kit.
