A breakdown of the groove I play in the song ‘Rio Frio’ that’s featured in the performance clips from the Baked Potato gig. One of the keys to this groove is the flow of the ride cymbal pattern. Accenting the up-beat might take a bit of getting used to – start slow and get the flow happening with the bass drums and then add the ghost notes last.
