Play-Along Lesson – ‘Chicken’ Vamp

This is a really fun vamp that I used to practice to all the time. It has an A and B section, rather than just being a repetitive 2-bar loop for example, and therefore allows for you to expand on some ideas over the different sections. You can choose to just groove though it or get into some soloing ideas.

There are two versions with and without the click. Try the no-click version for more of a challenge and to work on your time; it’s harder than you think. Have fun!
