This is a fantastic exercise for your foundation. It’ll help your time, sound, independence, coordination and foot technique. It serves as a great warm-up and as something to spend long periods of time playing in the practice room. Start slowly and make sure you get comfortable with playing the group of 4 notes in the cycle of 6 (16th note triplets).
