Great content as usual! One thing I find very tricky is playing nice fills here. I think one of the main reasons is what the right hand is doing during the groove, and when you need to play a fill, you have to interrupt the flow somehow.
Yeah, fills are hard in this feel. Just try to listen to some music that has this feel & see what the drummer chooses to do. Definitely can’t really stray from the simple triplet feel for fills.
Yeah I agree, but I think also when the right hand is playing 16th is a straight groove , like four of the for each quarter, it’s kind of hard to make fills. Maybe everytime the right hand is pretty busy is hard to play fills 🙂
