Here’s a lick you may have heard Weckl and Garibaldi play before. I first heard David Garibaldi play this on a live Tower of Power record (Soul Vaccination LIVE). It’s very simple but quite tricky to play and can be adapted and orchestrated many different ways.

Hi Louie, Great Lick of the month as always, I was wondering why I havent seen any licks which incorporates the double kick pedal( I know you use one occasionally), There are some great drummers (Vinny,C/ S, Smith/ T,Lang etc.) who use the Double kick in very interesting creative ways. I would love to see a “Lick of the Month” which focuses on this technique. Thanks Louie, James
