Hope everyone had a great Xmas! Here we go with the final Lick of the Month for 2019!
This phrase/lick is a good example of how I improvise these kinds of patterns and how I think about accents/melodic phrases and fill in the gaps as I go with ghost notes, etc. This is a nice, crisp & simple fill that you can take away and expand upon.
