Great Lick Louie! I also play the Pearl Maple Gum shells and I use EC 2’s on the batter heads ( I play mostly Rock) with a clear single ply head on the bottoms. I heard that some players use a 2 ply head on the reso side also? Have you ever heard of this or tried it yourself? Thx Louie and happy that you got thru the covid and back to your old self. James
Some people use coated on the bottom if they want something drier, but never heard anyone using two ply. Would be way too dead. Main purpose of 2-ply heads is durability from sticks hitting the head.
I’ll have to try EC2’s…heard good things.
