I must say I was planning to practice this more before making a lesson on it but then thought that this would make a good example of how, no matter what level you’re at, the simplest things are often the hardest.
I couldn’t believe how much I was struggling, particularly at the slower tempos, to execute the foot pattern with various 16th note stickings on top with the hands. It just shows you that no matter how much you play, you always have to fine tune things and go back to foundation exercises all the time to keep things in check and try to get better.
